Privacy Policy
This policy explains how CA Reetu Bhandari, Chartered Accountant (ICAI Membership No. 536302) (“I”, “we”), handles personal data collected through careetu.com. We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law.
What we collect
Through the Book Appointment form we collect the details you choose to give: your name, email address, phone number, what you would like help with, your business type, revenue range and anything you write in the message box.
Our free tools run in your browser. The first time you download a PDF or export to Excel from the Invoice Generator, we ask for your name, email, optional mobile number, what describes you and an optional business name. We keep these in a private list on our hosting server. The invoices, client details and business profile you enter in the tool stay in your browser and are not sent to us.
The same one-time form appears the first time you save a Learn guide as PDF. If you have already given your details in the Invoice Generator, you are not asked again. Checklist ticks, calendar choices and the profile you pick on the Learn page are saved only in your browser.
The Forex Remittance Comparer loads a reference exchange rate from public rate services (Frankfurter, which publishes European Central Bank rates, or open.er-api.com). Your browser contacts them directly, so they receive your IP address; no other information is sent.
The SME IPO Readiness Check runs in your browser. The figures you enter are not sent to us. If you then book an appointment from the same browser session, you can choose to attach your result to the request; you can untick that option before sending.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and operation. If website analytics is switched on, Google Analytics 4 records how the site is used, such as pages visited and which buttons are clicked, using cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads.
Why we use it
We use your details, on the basis of the consent you give when you submit the form, to respond to your request, arrange and hold an appointment, and follow up on that request. We send you one automatic email confirming that your request was received. If you sign up for a free tool, we use your details to send you a welcome email about the tool and occasional information about changes to it, to reply if you ask for help, and to understand who uses our tools. We do not send unsolicited marketing. We do not sell your data or use it for unrelated marketing.
Who we share it with
Your request is delivered by email and handled by us. Service providers who host the website, our email and analytics process data on our behalf. Where your requirement needs broader compliance or execution support, we may involve the TaxVic team, with your agreement. We disclose data to authorities only where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Free tool sign-up details are kept while we offer the tool, or until you ask us to delete them. If your request does not lead to an engagement, we delete it within 24 months of our last contact with you. If it does, we keep records for as long as professional and legal record-keeping rules require.
Your rights
You may ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct, complete or erase it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already done. You may also nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity.
To exercise any of these rights or raise a grievance, email reetu@taxvic.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
This website is served over HTTPS and access to enquiries is limited to those who need it to respond. Please do not send confidential financial documents through the website form.
